Independent Fairness Monitor to oversee review process
What is the best way to ensure the CCEMC’s submission evaluation process is fair and equitable?
This was an important question for the organization to acknowledge as it moved through the initial application process.
The answer: appoint a Fairness Monitor.
As a relatively new organization, the CCEMC is concerned with ensuring project applicants – both present and future – feel confident that their submissions are receiving fair and balanced consideration. The Fairness Monitor is an independent consultant who focuses on consistent and unbiased decision making processes and ensuring that all members of the CCEMC act in good faith .
The Fairness Monitor will participate in all stages of the evaluation process and will provide findings to the Board of Directors before any final funding decisions are made.
