The Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC) follows a specific, rigorous process when choosing which projects to fund. Twice a year, in spring and fall, we call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) where you — and any member of the public — can submit a proposal if it meets that EOI’s criteria.
Once the call for EOI closes, we go through a selection process to determine which proposals move forward and only invite successful applicants to submit a more detailed Full Project Proposal (FPP).
Once the invitation to submit an FPP closes, we again employ a selection process to determine which project proposals will be funded by the CCEMC. From the time an Expression of Interest is received to the time funding is granted can take approximately eight months.
It is important to note that even if projects make it to the shortlist, the CCEMC is not required to award funding if the quality or validity of any project does not meet the CCEMC’s evaluation standards.

The CCEMC is now inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for innovative projects that will reduce or avoid greenhouse gas emissions, or enhance carbon sequestration through the use of biological organisms such as plants, animals or microbes.
This EOI is open to the public, but projects must meet the outlined criteria.Get Started
